SriLankan Airlines began trialling the IATA Travel Pass on selected sectors starting October 1, 2021. This digital app verifies COVID-19 test and vaccination records without paper, speeding up check-in and health screening for passengers. It's part of a broader airline industry shift toward digital health verification.
If you're flying SriLankan Airlines on a route offering the Travel Pass, you can test the system—but paper documents remain valid as backup. Download the app, add your vaccination or test certificates, and show them digitally at check-in. As more countries and airlines adopt digital health records, this trial is a step toward simpler international travel.
