Repatriation Flights Resume: Bringing Home Thousands More

Two flights arrived on consecutive days carrying workers stranded in the UAE, marking a return to active operations. By this point, the airline had completed 76 repatriation flights, bringing over 15,000 stranded nationals back home—a remarkable logistical undertaking that reflected national commitment.

Yet the numbers told a sobering story: tens of thousands more Sri Lankans remained abroad, waiting for their turn to return.
